The crane arrived on site for the lift and erection of the roof structure and main gable end. It started off well offloading the various timber elements during the morning.
However MacSalvors had not brought enough wooden levelling pads and also had real difficulty in attaching the extension jib to the main boom – necessary for stability and to provide the reach to the far extremities of the site – so not a lot happened after late morning! They eventually resolved the problem and left the crane set up for the following day.
